RED ZONE Wedge Test

Does Your Wedge Shot Handicap match your Playing Handicap???

Red Zone Inside 100 yards

Red Zone Inside 100 yards

Take the FREE RED ZONE Wedge test at Monarch Bay Learning Center.  See the 10 foot targets on the ALL GRASS Monarch Bay Driving Range at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 yards.

Take 2 wedge shots to each target.  Add the points total for all shots and see what your RED ZONE Wedge Handicap is.  Does your wedge shot handicap match your playing handicap?

Take your wedge shot and watch where the ball finishes to see the result. If your ball finishes inside the 10 foot target, you’ve earned 3 points.  If the ball finishes outside from 0 to 10 feet (one target width), you’ve earned 2 points.  If the ball finishes outside from 10 to 20 feet (two target widths), you’ve earned 1 point.  If the ball lands outside the target by Over 30 feet, you SUBTRACT 1 point from your total points for all wedge shots.

Now use the total points for all 10 shots (2 shots total to each target) to see what your handicap is.  If you can score 15 or more, you have a scratch handicap – GREAT!   If you can score 9 to 15 points, you have a single digit handicap – WELL DONE!  If you can score 7 to 5 points, you have a bogey handicap – NOT BAD!  If you can score 4 or less, you need work – come to the Wednesday night FREE clinics and get a Guaranteed Straight shot!

Feel Free to try this test Any Time.  Ask Coach Rick what the results mean and how you can Improve.  This is 1 of 6 short game tests that we use to get you a Frustration Free Game of Golf, one that’s repeatable.  See more about the RED ZONE 1-day golf schools or junior camps under Programs.
